Franklin Park, Las Vegas, Nevada
Principal Engineer for two-phased project  that included providing planning and entitlement work, mapping and civil improvement plans for 199-lot single family residential subdivision in the Providence Master Planned Community.  Work includes preparation and processing of tentative map, boundary survey retracement, and preparation of one merger and re-subdivision final map, easement vacation exhibit, revised site plan, master grading plan, and master utility plan.  Specifically, Phase 2 work will consist of improvement plans, technical drainage study and street lighting design; phase 3 work will include preparation of final map, technical drainage study update, improvement plans, and street lighting design.

Lincoln County Land Act Parcels, Lincoln County, Nevada
As Principal Engineer, he was responsible for preliminary studies for the more than 6,000 acres encompassed by Parcels, B, C, F, I, and J of the Lincoln County Land Act.  These studies consisted of land plan and density allocations, major backbone infrastructures and preliminary grading.

Town Wash Channel and Canyon Crest Community Park, Mesquite, Nevada
Lead design engineer for the Canyon Crest Park and associated Town Wash Improvements.  Specific tasks consisted of identifying the park programming needs relative to site drainage requirements as well as a major culvert crossing and regional detention facility upgrades.

Somersett Town Center Village 5B and 5D, Reno, Nevada
Responsible for civil engineering services for neo-traditional Somersett Town Center Residential project located within the 2,372 acre Somersett Master Planned Community.  Services included design of backbone roadways, water and sewer systems and design of a 280 lot mixed product subdivision.  As part of the project requirements, Mr. Thompson supervised and prepared tentative maps, civil improvement plans, master drainage studies and mapping in coordination with the Master Developer, landscape architect and site lighting consultant.  Also acted as Engineer-of-Record for the City of Reno Quality Assurance Program.

Atlantis Hotel and Casino, Reno, Nevada
Project Manager/Lead Design Engineer for the preparation of master sanitary sewer, storm drain and grading for the 18-story, 283 room tower expansion and 10,000 square foot casino expansion to the existing hotel casino.  Supervised and prepared improvement plans for the 22 acre, 310 space parking lot expansion and associated pedestrian sky bridge, on and offsite sanitary sewer infrastructure improvements, and coordinated building and site interface with the project architect.

Roadway Express Freight Transfer Facility, Sparks, Nevada
Project Manager/Lead Design Engineer for the 57 dock door expansion to the existing 10 acre freight transfer facility.  Responsibilities consisted of entitlement application and approval as well as supervision and preparation of final design documents.

Century Theater Park Lane Mall, Reno, Nevada
Project manager/Lead design engineer for the 72,000 square foot, 16-plex theater building located on a 10± acre site.  Supervised and prepared the master drainage study, site grading and sanitary sewer improvements.  Coordinated gas water and electrical design with utility providers as well as existing utility relocation.

Quail Corners, Reno, Nevada
Project Manager/Lead Design Engineer for the 9.25 acre planned commercial development containing 89,000 square feet of professional office and 55,000 square feet of retail and restaurant.  Supervised and prepared the master drainage study, site grading and sanitary sewer improvements.  Coordinated gas, water and electrical design with utility providers.

Jobs Peak Ranch, Gardnerville, Nevada
Project Manager/Lead Design Engineer for the preparation of master site grading and drainage plans for the 1,080 acre, 122 lot residential lot sales subdivision located in the Sierra Nevada mountain range.  Supervised and prepared master design drainage study, design of vertical and horizontal roadway alignments, and design of storm water pollution and clean water best management practice plans.

Mr. Thompson has over 20 years experience as an accomplished project manager and design engineer with a background based in land development planning, design and construction.  He has experience in taking a project from its conceptual stages creating efficient, creative and cost sensitive land plans which are successful from start to completion.  This experience has given him the ability to assess a complete project and identify aspects of the land plan and final design which result in the projects final product meeting the needs of the developer from both a cost and marketing standpoint.

Mr. Thompson’s planning experience consists of land and site plan development, road alignment and lot configuration along with integrated utility and grading master planning.  This experience ranges from 1,000 plus acre master planned communities to infill projects, multi-family development, commercial, industrial, office and retail projects meeting the needs of small local builders as well as the some of the nation's largest builders and developers.  In addition, his design experience ranges from hydrologic and hydraulic storm modeling to complex grading and utility design including final construction documents.

His construction experience ranges from construction cost estimating to engineer of record responsible for all inspection, testing and verification of constructed improvements to ensure compliance with the City of Reno’s Quality Assurance Program.  In addition to overseeing inspections on public projects, Mr. Thompson performed inspections to include curb and gutter, rock walls and sewer line installation.
